Klippster Pro
Klippster and its formats are free forever. Pro adds a deeper clipboard history and the AI-assisted parts of the image editor — one payment, no subscription.
#Free is not a trial
Worth saying plainly, because "free tier" usually means something else. The free version has the whole conversion engine in it. There is no watermark, no time limit, no nag screen, no account, and no feature that stops working after a fortnight.
- All eight built-in formats, in both directions
- ⌘⇧V and ⌘⇧C, plus every Finder menu
- Markdown rendered as a typeset PDF
- Prepare Image: crop, resize, compare formats, export
- Clipboard History — the last 20 clips
- Community Format Packs
- Every tint, surface style and appearance mode
It runs on every Mac you own, with nothing to activate.

#The two tiers
Personal and Family are the same licence. They differ in exactly one way: how many Macs it covers.
| Tier | Price | Macs | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Klippster Pro | €19.99 once | 3 | One person's machines |
| Klippster Pro Family | €49.99 once | 10 | A household |
Neither is a subscription, and neither expires. You can move a licence between Macs yourself at any time — see Activation.
Pro sales open after the public beta. The pricing block on the site shows the buttons as disabled until then, and the licensing service refuses checkout server-side regardless of what any page displays.
#Activation, once
A paid licence is activated one time, over the internet. After that Klippster verifies the licence on your Mac and never contacts a licence server again — not at launch, not on a schedule, not ever. If our servers vanish, your Pro keeps working.
That activation request carries a licence credential and a code identifying the Mac, and nothing else. No clipboard content, no file content, no usage data.
A Mac with no connection can be activated too: Klippster shows a device code, you enter it on the website from any other device, and you get a licence file for that machine. Activation covers both routes.
#What a licence is
A licence is a small signed file that the app verifies locally against a public key compiled into it. It names the Mac it was issued for, which is why the purchase email contains an activation link and a key rather than a licence file — the file cannot be produced until a specific Mac has asked for it.
The fields it carries are listed in the licensing API reference, because it is also the contract between the service and the app.
#If you already bought
Your licence page is where you move a licence to a new Mac, get the activation link again, release a Mac you no longer use, and download or erase your data. Sign in with the address you paid with — there is no password, we send a link.
Manage your licence The licence portal opens alongside Pro sales.
