Klippster uses cwebp to create WebP files — macOS can read that format but not write it. It runs locally, on one image at a time, and is bundled unmodified from the upstream libwebp distribution.

Linked into the bundled cwebp, where it reads the PNG that Klippster hands the encoder. Not shipped as a separate file. Klippster ships no copy of zlib; cwebp uses the one that comes with macOS.
